I am legally authorized to perform weddings in the State of Minnesota and am willing to perform the most basic service to the more elegant. 

Basic Civil Service

If you are simply looking for someone to perform a very quick and basic marriage (simple "I do's" and pronouncing you husband and wife) my rate is $35, subject to my availability.  This type of service is very short, very basic, and often takes less than five minutes.  This rate does not include mileage. This service also allows for a very small number of guests; typically two witnessess.  It uses a very simple script and only very limited modifications will be allowed.  It is a very basic civil ceremony similar to what a judge would perform.The form for this service can be found by clicking here.You can not have custom vows, readings (either bibilcal or poems), blessings, or anything of this nature with this service.  It is simply meant for those couples who, "just want to be married".

Ceremonies

My fees for ceremonies are based on using the following rate schedule; $100 for first fifteen minutes and $50 for each fifteen minutes thereafter, most couples can expect to pay between $150 to $200.  These rates cover the time required to prepare for your special day.  I will work with you personally to determine what the ceremony should include and tailor it for your specific desires, after all it is your wedding.  Being a Christian, I am comfortable performing services that are closely related to Christian traditions complete with Biblical readings, but please note that your specific denomination may not recognize the ceremony. I am willing to officiate weddings conforming to other faiths but I will be upfront and readily admit that my knowledge of wedding rituals in those faiths is limited. 

I have do not impose any limit on the number of guest which may attend your wedding but if the location requires a sound system then there will be associated fees.  Furthermore, if the sheer number of guest cause the ceremony to expend beyound the aforementioned time frames then additional fees will be incurred. 

I will offer discounts for couples who contract with me to their wedding officiant and their DJ, does not apply when using the "Basic Civil Service".

Other Fees

Other fees may apply if you need me to acquire anything "special" for the ceremony, for example if you would like me to acquire the unity candles, unity sand, or something of that nature.  I can also setup a sound system to be used for the ceremony however fees will apply and it may be necessary to hire someone to operate it during the ceremony unless you have a guest qualified to do so.

There will be a mileage fee if the distance to the event is more than $30 miles from my location.
