Rates
Rates are dependent on the type of event and the degree of planning required for it. For low-key, informal events rates start at $250.00 for four hours, formal events (weddings, corporate events, proms, formal dances, etc) start at $450.00 for four hours. Formal events require a greater degree of preparation and an in person planning meeting due their importance.
While I understand that these multiple fees can be confusing, I am a strong believer that you should only pay for the services which you desire rather than charging a flat fee to everyone. Other charges apply dependent on additional services desired, distance to event, and etc., as detailed below. Rates
Base rate of $250.00 (informal rate) or $450 (formal rate) for first four hours of music, discounts may apply if you are in the need of multiple "extras"/additional services or if you need my services for consecutive days/nights.
- $50 per hour for every additional hour with the exception of dinner
music - $30 per hour for dinner music - musical list will be pre-determined
an no requests will be served during this time. - Mileage: No charge if within 35 miles of 64113 305th St, Litchfield, MN, if greater than 35 miles then a fee $0.50 per mile will apply.
- $50.00 additional charge if Karaoke is desired.
- Early set-up, $30.00 per hour - some clients prefer and some venues require that the equipment be setup prior to their guest's arrival. If this is going to be more
than one hour before the show then this fee applies. - Lights $50 fee for informal events lights are included in fee for formal events
- A fee of $100 for each flight of stairs DJ must carry equipment up (or down) and no elevator is available. There is no charge for stairs leading up to a raised platform of five feet or less.
- Carry fee of $1/foot if DJ must transport equipment more than 300 feet from parking lot to performance area.
- Tuxedo fee of $125 if DJ is to wear a tuxedo, DJ wears suit and tie to formal events and appropriate attire for non-formal events (business casual or "cowboy" theme depending on client's needs).
- Take down fee of $30/hour if DJ must wait more than one hour after end of event to disassemble and load equipment.
- Secondary DJ Setup fee of $50 per setup required if DJ must setup equipment for ceremony, dinner, or other purpose in a location(s) other than the primary performance area.
- Please note that other services are availible depending on your needs.
Formal events include weddings, proms, anniversaries, corporate events, etc. it will apply whenever the DJ is required to plan the event, provide master of ceremony services, cater to specific requests (purchasing music, planning special dances, etc). I will provide one in-person planning session and unlimited phone or e-mail interactions for these types of events. For non-formal events I will not provide an in-person planning meeting. For informal services only, music requests that require the DJ to purchase music will be at filled at the DJ's sole discretion and may require an additional fee of $1.00/song (again this would only apply to informal events, for formal events I will purchase the required music to meet your needs).
A non-refundable reservation fee of the greater of 25% of performance fee or $100 plus tuxedo fee, if applicable, and all additional rental fees, is required to secure the services of DJ Service for the engagement. This amount shall be applied toward the Performance Fee. Gift certificates and other discounts cannot be applied towards the reservation fee.
Fundraisers/Benefit Dances
I am a strong believer in putting back into my community and assisting people and organizations in need. Therefore, for events in which funds are being raised for a specific purpose and/or organization I will make special allowances regarding my rates. Depending on the need I am willing to volunteer time, reduce my rate or work on a commission basis. With the commission basis my rate will be 25% of what your organization collects at the door but the maximum will not exceed my normal rates. Whether or not I will provide my services is strictly on my sole discretion.
